There are so many good things to be said for these braid remy hair

Another look that we feel would be perfect for festival chic, this remy hair look gives us all the brilliant braided vibes. Rock yours with hair jewelry to really stand out, or get creative with glitter and temporary colors. Have some fun with it. You can wash it all out in the morning, after all.

Dutch braids are like regular French braids, but rather than folding the new strands of remy hair over the braid and then into it, you tuck the strands under instead. Just one simple change to your regular braided hairstyles for medium hair and you have something completely new.

Another twist on conventional braid is the waterfall braid, given its name because of that wonderful, cascading finish. It’s actually a very simple style of braid too — rather than tucking all the hair in and braiding it together, you leave some to fall down. Again, there are plenty of Youtube tutorials to follow. These looks are often easier to learn when you can see how to do them, rather than read how to do them.

There are so many good things to be said for these braid remy hair, and as well as being very quick to do (once you’ve mastered the art), you’ll find that they’re a versatile hairstyle that can easily match a wide range of events and occasions. Floral and romantic for wedding day looks, big and bouffanty for something glam and sophisticated, there really is a braid for everyone and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve unearthed!

2018 Real Hair Wigs Trends

The 2018 Real Hair Wigs trends you need to try next year – as predicted by the experts…

Braids, bright blonde and bobs, 2017 was an experimental year for hair to say the least. While super straight styles, ponytails, and huge hair accessories took the catwalk by storm, neon colours, rainbow dyes and glow in the dark hair colours reigned supreme on the internet as beauty industry insiders and bloggers jumped to be the first try the wackiest 2017 hair trends.

But we’re now looking ahead for more wearable, flattering hairstyles. We want to know: what are the 2018 hair trends you really need to familiarise yourself with? Which haircuts and hair colours will be taking over salons across the UK next year? What should we be looking to try?

Over the summer the Duchess of Cambridge and her ‘cob’ proved that slightly shorter, chic hair is here to stay. And the perm, which recently made a comeback, looks like it’s making a strong case to remain in style as one of many hair trends in 2018 too. But what else? We asked three top hair experts for their predictions on what the hottest 2018 hair trends will be, and this is what they had to say… The good news is that there is something for everyone!

Top haircuts for women 2018

Boyish wonders

Ken O’Rourke, Charles Worthington brand ambassador, predicts that boyish androgyny will have a major moment in 2018.

“One of the hottest real hair wigs trends for 2018 is going to be the bowl cut. Remember Linda Evangelista in the 80’s that kind of boyish androgynous look. It’s great for any age and requires minimum amount of styling time.

Internationally renowned hair stylist Paul Edmonds agrees, “The retro 80s trends has already made a resurgence in fashion and is even more prominent in the hair industry especially in the New Year as a bowl soft layered cut is one to watch.”

Keep it natural

Paul
Edmonds predicts that the all-natural afro is, “a strong contender” to
be the best hairstyle for 2018 – “as long as it isn’t too defined.”

Think Halle Berry on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party earlier this year – perfection…

Straight down the line

Don’t fancy embracing curls? Then Edmonds also reveals 2018’s key hairstyling secret – the
straighter the style the better!

“In terms of real hair wigs styles that
will be hot in 2018, long straight hair is set to take the industry by
storm again. A mid to long length blunt cut with gloss and shine. The
LOB will continue to be a popular choice but it has to be a blunt cut on
the edge then textured through the layers to give it some movement so
it can be manipulated and easily styled.”

The likes of Demi Moore
and award-winning actress Sandra Bullock have loved this look for years,
and there’s no better time to take a leaf out of this Oscar winner’s
beauty book…

Pull it back

One of Paul Edmonds’ top tips for keeping ahead of the 2018 hair trends is to put down your hairdryer and pull your air-dried hair back into a ponytail. Not only is this one of the easiest 2018 hair trends to try at home, but it will also help keep your hair healthy and avoid heat damage.

“Ponytails will remain prominent as we transition from AW17 to SS18 seasons” reveals Paul. “Try undone air dried hair pulled back away from the face with accessories for added glamour such hair bows, embellished clips or loose bands.”

At 36, Sienna Miller proved that wearing your hair up in a ponytail, tied with a simple bow, didn’t have to look too ‘school girl’ and could look chic and sophisicated…

Love the trend? Try Paul’s top tip for creating the ultimate evening glamour up-do:

“For maximum Hollywood glamour, my personal favourite is a single wave at the front of the hairline whilst keeping the rest of the hair natural looking for that undone done finish – perfect from daytime to evening time glam.”

Hair colour trends 2018

Sweet treats

Satin smooth chocolate, or gloriously
golden honey – think sweet shades with a healthy shine when it comes to
colour for the top 2018 hair trends.

Charles Worthington brand
ambassador Ken O’Rourke thinks these rich, nourished colours will be a
hit for the year ahead, “Colour wise I’d say chocolate brown and honey
shades will be popular as long as the hair looks healthy with maximum
shine. To me, that’s always a head turner.”

So, think Eva Longoria on the red carpet in Cannes, but with even more depth of colour and chocolatey brown richness…

Blonde ambition

Thinking of changing up your hair colour next year? It seems there’s never been a better time to be blonde. There are so many shades coming through already as top 2018 hair trends.

Expert colourist Jack Howard explains, “Metallic blondes and pastel yellow colour trends are making a breakthrough in 2018. We’re already seeing pops of colour a la Rita Ora debuting her recent coloured soaked fringe which frames the face and is a bit of fun.”

Holly Willoughby had the right idea this summer, taking her golden blonde locks a shade lighter to freshen up her look:

Brand new balayage

Balayage has been a huge trend over the last few years, and it isn’t going anywhere any time soon. However, the much-loved colouring style is evolving in 2018.

“The evolution of balayage moves towards ‘Californian Balayage” expert Colourist at Paul Edmonds Jack Howard explains, “so a much lighter and cooler overall look.”

But it’s not just blondes and lighter remy hair tones who will be having all the fun next year. “Charcoal balayage and charcoal grey is also great on mid-length hair and will be bang on trend as we move into 2018” says Jack.

Fishtail human hair extensions are much easier to do than you’d think

One of the easiest ways to give an older braided look some new life is to pull it out a bit. We’ve human hair extensions the idea a few times over the course of this piece, but it really is the easiest trick you could learn. Just by pulling out a few strands, or all of the strands of the braid, you have an entirely new look on your hands. A tight look for yesterday, a pulled-out look for today, perhaps? It would mean getting two styles out of just one braided look. Time-saving — we love it!

Fishtail human hair extensions are much easier to do than you’d think. Well, they must be if even we’ve managed to get the hang of them. One thing that seems to put people off is the fact that you’re working with four strands of hair, rather than with three strands of hair, as you’d find in a traditional French braid. The look is worth the extra strand though, as you can see. This look has been left tight, but pulled out and left a little messy, these fishtails really do bring something new to the table.

If you’re on the hunt for a romantically braided look, how does this one suit you? The addition or flowers have made this look utterly adorable, but you could leave them out if that’s more feminine than the route you wanted to take.

A teeny-tiny human hair extensions is something all you need to add a little something extra to an otherwise dull look. This hairstyle only features one teeny-tiny braid but, as you can see, it certainly makes quite the impact.

The peruvian hair French braid is a classic and one that can be worn in a number of different ways

The rope braid is another modern and new style of braid that everyone seems to be obsessed with right now, and when you take a peek at this cool look, it’s no wonder. Slightly different than regular French, fishtail, and Dutch-style braids, everyone will be asking questions about it, before they ask you to recreate it on their peruvian hair too.

Look for hair masks that contain both olive oil and avocado oil if you want to give your peruvian hair a good boost of nutrients and hydration. As well as promising to restore some serious shine back into your locks, the blend of oils will also leave your hair softer and healthier. If you’re a big fan of regularly styling your locks, you should use a mask that contains these products to try and undo some of the damage.

Taking things back to basics with a look that is both elegant and peruvian hair is a very good idea, as shown by this big and bouffant look. If you’ve got a beautiful tiara to set upon your head, this would be perfect for it.

The peruvian hair French braid is a classic and one that can be worn in a number of different ways. Loose and long down the back, or tied up and twisted, a little something like this …

FAIRLY LIMP BIO BRAZILIAN HAIR ALMOST TO MY SHOULDERS

It was about three years ago when I started growing it, and I finally have my stringy, fairly limp bio brazilian hair almost to my shoulders. So, I’ve been casting about for a long bob wig to supplement it without much success – Haute is perfect but I hate the HD fiber so I wasn’t going to go with that one again, then I tried Mila by Revlon but it did not look good on me at all, and Isabelle by Margu looked too wiggy to me up top as well as being too light color-wise. I’d always suspected Elle would be a really good candidate, but I tend to want to constantly try new styles rather than re-purchase ones I’ve already owned and I’ve had Elle in Shaded Peach in the past. After the failures of Mila and Isabelle though, I changed my tune about trying new styles and decided I’d rather have something tried and true if I was going to spend more money, so Elle it was.

Several companies that make lace fronts also have this weird white line that indicates where the lace ends and the monofilament top begins; I am sure there’s a reason it’s there that makes sense, but in a lot of brazilian hair it shows through the fiber and can be seen. I pretty much hate that white line, but it isn’t going anywhere, so for the most part I try to deal with it. Sometimes I even use a dark brown magic marker to try and darken it, which I did a little on Elle but not on the section shown above. I was so pissed off about the hairplug-look of the crown area that I threw Elle back in the box and ignored it for several days while decided whether or not to try and return it. However, over the weekend I knew I wanted to take pictures of Easy Edge and get it reviewed, and I decided to pull Elle back out of the package and try her on again – and lo and behold, I liked it better.

Lace front crisis aside; the cut of Elle is just what I like, and in my dreams my bio hair could only be this lovely and thick. It is an easy wig to wear and the brazilian hair out of my face generally – aside from the wispy strays that wander around and eventually get yanked out by me – and the cap is comfortable and a good fit for an average-petite head with a full head of hair underneath. It has lovely movement and is simple and flattering; I don’t think it’s overly glam like a Renau Giselle or Adriana might be, and even though it’s quite full I do think it’s a nice day-to-day style.

To close this out, here’s a shot of Elle taken outside in natural light. I’ll be back later to review the Brandi I bought, as well as the Shilo I picked up for good measure. I had videos of those brazilian hair up before, but I’ve not written anything about them, and they are both reliable older styles I always like, which is why I re-purchased them. The wig binge continues, so let’s all enjoy it for as long as it lasts.

CAN COAT YOUR HUMAN HAIR EXTENSIONS WITH NECESSARY HUMIDITY BLOCKERS

Starting with a head full of gorgeous curls is the way to go. The more curls you add from the beginning, the less likely you are to use a straightener as a crutch for the next few days. These curls will gradually fall, giving way to beautiful waves, but you won’t feel pressured to re-style your human hair extensions with more heat.

You’ll want to create a buffer between your hair and the elements. Whether you’re sweating it out in the gym, partying hard on the dance floor, or you simply live in a humid climate, protection against frizz is key. Butter may not be good for your weight loss plan, but it’s one of the best natural and quick fix remedies for your dry human hair extensions. Many women have been talking about how amazing the effect of butter was on their dry hair, so, I had to research it, and it’s true, butter is an amazing therapy for your dry hair. It moisturizes your hair locks, nourishes it, and it is claimed that butter can make it grow longer too.

Want to steer clear of follicle-thrashing ammonia and bleach? Then, all roads lead to trying a gloss treatment.

We know, it seems too good to be true: How on earth does glossing address so many human hair extensions woes, all without damaging tresses? Maddison Cave, a colorist at Rita Hazan Salon in New York City, explains: “Technically, it’s a demi-permanent (in-between semi- and permanent), which means that it deposits tone into the hair strand, but does not lift or lighten hair color.” What’s more, the formulas are free of bleach and ammonia, so treatments can actually leave hair more conditioned than before and shiny as all get-out.
